Bon Apetītī: A night of Kai and Kōrero
As the nights grow longer, and the wild southern winds turn, we invite you to gather at The Batch Café for a special evening of kai and kōrero.
Join Dan Tarrant, local mahinga kai champion, storyteller (and proud pirate-tongued speaker), and the ever-generous Ricky Fife for a night exploring the world of Tītī: the birds, the islands, the harvest, and the whakapapa that binds it all.
They'll weave this storytelling together with chef Ethan Flack to craft a one-off five course menu inspired by the season and the sea, celebrating the rich traditions of Murihiku through thoughtful, locally sourced kai.
Expect stories, laughter, and a rare glimpse into one of Aotearoa’s most enduring food traditions.
June 6, 2025, at The Batch Cafe, Invercargill.
Book now. Spaces are limited.
$120 (+3% transaction fee) incl. Drink on arrival.
