Join Ethan in his kitchen space for an immersive dining experience showcasing the best seasonal produce Southland has to offer.

Ethan will welcome you to his space in the South Alive Building on Grace Street, Invercargill. You will be met at the doors of the Pantry and shown through to the kitchen. Here you will enjoy a welcome drink and canapes before sitting down around the purpose-built tabletop right in the middle of the kitchen. From your spot in the kitchen, you will be able to interact with Ethan as he prepares and serves your dinner. He will highlight the provenance of the ingredients and products he is using as he shares his knowledge and tricks of the trade with you.

This is a dining event for 10 people only. Book for a party of 10 and come along with your family and friends to share the experience or book a smaller number of tickets and you will have the chance to share this special experience with a group of likeminded individuals.

Tickets for this experience include a non-alcoholic welcome drink with three canapes. A five-course dinner with bread plus a hot drink and petit fours.

*Our menus are designed with the seasons in mind and are dependent on produce availability. Ethan will decide on the dishes you will experience the morning you are due to dine after connecting with local producers. While you will not know in advance what you will experience, you will be able to take a copy of the menu away with you.

*Please note we are not currently a licensed venue. We will have a selection of non-alcoholic drinks available for purchase.

*We can cater to most dietary requirements with advance notice. If you have an allergy or intolerance, please provide this information at the time of booking or get in touch with us to discuss this first. Please note that while all care will be taken to cater to dietary requirements, all allergens are used in our kitchen space so we cannot guarantee against contamination.

*This experience is designed for guests aged 16 and over. If you would like to purchase a ticket for someone younger than this, please get in touch with us first.

*Tickets are non-refundable. Once purchased, if you are no longer able to attend the experience you have booked, please let us know via email (chefethanflack@gmail.com) with at least one week’s notice. We will endeavour to fill your seats and offer an alternative date however this will be at our discretion.

*Please note - A Kitchen Dinner requires a minimum of 6 guests to go ahead. If at least 6 guests are not booked 48 hours before a dinner is scheduled to go ahead we will be in touch with those booked to discuss alternative arrangements.
